Overseas Network October 27-On October 27, the construction of Jinan-Weifang section of Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line, which was invested and constructed by Shandong Expressway Group, started, marking the official opening of the project.
Jinan-Weifang Expressway, as the "Shesan" line of "nine verticals, five horizontals, one ring, seven shots and many connections" in the highway network planning layout of Shandong Province, successively connects the East Ring Section of the Second Ring Road of Jinan Ring Expressway, Binlai, Changshen and Weiri Expressway from west to east, passes through Weifang connecting line of Weiri Expressway and weilai expressway, and then connects Qingyin, which is an important trunk line connecting the provincial capital metropolitan area and Jiaodong metropolitan area, thus forming the central passage from Jinan to Qingdao. The implementation of the project plays an important role in improving the traffic capacity of the main national transportation channel, accelerating the construction of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, improving the layout of expressway network, enhancing the anti-risk ability of road network, strengthening the connection between Jinan and Qingdao and Yantai, promoting the rapid development of regional economy and the development of tourism resources, and providing support and guarantee for the transformation of old and new kinetic energy. The main line of Jinan-Weifang section of Ji-Qing Middle Line is about 162 kilometers long, with an estimated total investment of about 42.1 billion yuan. It passes through five counties and cities of Zhangqiu District, Zichuan District, Qingzhou City, Linqu County and Changle County, and is built according to the standard of two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 120 km/h. It is an important part of the expressway network of "Nine Vertical, Five Horizontal, One Ring, Seven Shooting and Multiple Links" in Shandong Province.
After the completion of the project, it will form the third channel between the provincial capital economic circle and Jiaodong economic circle together with Weifang-Qingdao section of Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line, which is of great significance for improving the layout of the expressway network in Shandong Province, improving the overall benefit of the expressway network, accelerating the construction of the provincial capital economic circle, promoting the economic and social development along the line, and exerting the pulling effect of investment on the development of Shandong Province. At the same time, as a pilot project of intelligent expressway construction defined by the Ministry of Transport, the implementation of this project will effectively improve the intelligent level of expressway construction, management, operation and service.
Since the start of the preliminary work of the project in February this year, Shandong Expressway Group has taken the initiative to overcome the impact of the epidemic situation. In just seven months, it has completed a number of special approvals such as land pre-examination, planning and site selection, and obtained approval from the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and design approval from the Provincial Department of Transportation, laying a solid foundation for the start of the project.
In the next step, Shandong Expressway Group will continue to increase investment in manpower, material resources and financial resources, and actively promote the construction of smart high-speed demonstration projects while speeding up the project construction. According to the construction orientation of "perception of the whole road section, whole process control and all-weather traffic", the Jinan-Qingdao Middle Line Project will become a smart high-speed model that reflects Shandong characteristics and Shandong model, and contribute to the construction of a strong transportation country and a strong transportation province.
