Orange group, the French communications network operator, will sign a FLY-LION3 construction and maintenance contract for India ocean optic cable system.

Radiotelephone works with Comoros cable to provide extended lines for existing LION and LION2 submarine fibre optic systems.
LION is a submarine cable system connecting Mauritius and Madagascar, reunion, a total length of 1060 km, put into use in November 2009. LION2 is the first to extend the LION, connected to Mayotte and Kenya, a total length of 2700 km, put into use in April 2012.
FLY-LION3 submarine cable system is connected to Mayotte and Grande Comore, a total length of 400 km, with 2 of each of the fiber fiber design, initial design rate of 20*100Gbps, total capacity of 4Tbps. Not only that, FLY-LION3 will connect East African submarine fiber optic cable system EASSy.
It is expected that the FLY-LION3 submarine optical fiber cable system will be put into use in 2018.
