The Russian government approved the development strategy of agricultural machinery in July 6, 2017, before 2030.

In 2016, mass production of 75 new types of high performance machines was carried out, with the localization rate of parts and materials exceeding 70% of the mechanical cost.
These achievements have benefited from the country's strong support for the agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises. In 2017, 13 billion 700 million rubles were allocated for this purpose.
New agricultural machinery manufacturing development strategy provides a continuation of the stimulating demand mechanism, while gradually reducing the support level, by 2021, the Russian domestic market will ensure that the proportion of agricultural equipment localization increased to 80%.
In addition, the strategy also regulates export growth to 50%. This will make the capacity load reach 80-90%. The key markets for Russian agricultural machinery exports, with the exception of the CIS countries, will be the European Union, South Africa, Australia, China, North america.
