The research of coal based supercritical carbon dioxide cycle power generation is at the initial stage both at home and abroad. Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute 5 MW supercritical carbon dioxide cycle power test platform for Huaneng Group led research demonstration project, the parameters of the power level and is currently in the international leading level, is also the only carbon dioxide cycle power generation system. The traditional power system based on steam Rankine cycle is difficult to break through the existing material parameters and technical level, so the need for innovative circulation fundamentally. The new power cycle with carbon dioxide as the working fluid can obtain higher power generation efficiency under the same parameters. Preliminary studies show that carbon dioxide cycle can reach 700 DEG C steam cycle efficiency is 620 degrees centigrade in the working fluid parameters, while avoiding the use of expensive nickel based high temperature alloy, reduce unit cost, and has a good economic prospect.
As a research and demonstration project, Harbin boiler through the joint construction of carbon dioxide cycle power test rig and Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute, tested in 5 MW boiler design and test unit, can provide basic data support for the conceptual design of large solid supercritical carbon dioxide cycle power generation boiler next and engineering application.
