On March 1, 2024, the 2024 Branch Work Conference of China Construction Machinery Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) was held in Dezhou, Shandong. The meeting comprehensively analyzed the situation faced by the industry development, deployed the key tasks of the association and branch offices in 2024, unified ideas, and consolidated consensus, laying the foundation for ensuring the comprehensive completion of the annual work tasks assigned by the council.
More than 80 people, including Association President Su Zimeng, Secretary General Wu Peiguo, Vice President and President of the Engineering Crane Branch, and Chairman of the Dual Carbon Work Committee Li Jianyou, Association Supervisors, Deputy Secretaries General of the Association, heads of various branch offices, and all personnel from the Association Headquarters and Exhibition Company, attended the meeting. Su Zimeng gave a report on the Development Situation and Main Tasks of the Industry in 2024, analyzing the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry's development, and predicting that the industry's overall operation will show a stable and positive development trend this year and in the future. The report deployed key tasks such as preparing for the industry development plan during the 15th Five Year Plan period, hosting the first Engineering Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival and Industry Annual Conference, and further building the nine service platforms of the association in 2024.
Su Zimeng emphasized that in 2024, all comrades of the association should continue to improve their political stance, enhance their political judgment, understanding, and execution abilities, and make every effort to do a good job in the "four services" work.
Su Zimeng pointed out that all departments and branches of the association should improve their abilities, take proactive actions, and seize the new opportunities brought by the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation to the development of the industry. In order to promote new industrialization, accelerate the transformation of industry's new and old kinetic energy, strengthen and extend the supply chain, accelerate the development towards digitization, networking, intelligence, and greenization, implement industrial foundation reconstruction projects and major technological equipment research projects, further improve the industry's basic capacity and modernization level of the industrial chain, vigorously promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and contribute to the establishment of a modern industrial system and the development of new quality productive forces.
Wu Peiguo, on behalf of the Association Secretariat, summarized the work of the Association Secretariat in 2023 and made comprehensive arrangements for the work of the Association Secretariat in 2024. He pointed out that in 2024, the Secretariat of the Association should focus on consolidating and improving the daily work of the Association, including member services, technological quality, group standard formulation, news promotion, statistics and economic analysis, evaluation of scientific and technological progress awards, appraisal of scientific and technological achievements, technical consulting services, compilation of professional ability evaluation standards, credit rating evaluation, compilation and issuance of yearbooks and industry chronicles, recommendation and review of individual champions, specialized and innovative enterprises, and small and giant enterprises. The following eight work tasks should be emphasized: first, in accordance with the Association's Party conduct and anti-corruption work conference deployment, as well as the latest spirit of higher-level Party organizations, effectively strengthen the Association's Party building work; Secondly, we will focus on organizing important activities such as the first Engineering Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival and the Association's Annual Meeting organized by the Association; Thirdly, we will cooperate to organize the Shanghai BMW Exhibition and carefully prepare for BICES2025. Li Jianyou proposed 18 technical directions and measures for achieving high-end, intelligent, and green high-quality development in the construction machinery industry.
Association supervisors Zhai Huikun and Fang Jianxian put forward relevant suggestions in their speeches on improving political stance, focusing on key work, addressing weaknesses and seeking new breakthroughs, improving service capacity building, and helping enterprises go global.
Deputy Secretary General Wang Jinxing, Yin Xiaoli, Lv Ying, Yan Jianguo, and Assistant Secretary General Li Chunsheng respectively exchanged speeches on their respective work in charge of science and technology quality and standard regulations, publicity, association statistics and economic operation analysis, planning, member management, overseas exhibitions, and branch organization management. Deputy Secretary General Wang Jinxing introduced the overall plan of the Science and Technology Festival.
