How to operate an excavator? Ten steps to maintain an excavator.

1. Be sure of your surroundings first. During slewing operation, it is necessary to have a clear idea of the obstacles and terrain around, so as to operate safely. During operation, it is necessary to make sure the front and rear directions of the track to avoid overturning or bumping, otherwise, it is easy to damage the walking motor or hose. When working, the left and right track should be in contact with the ground to improve the dynamic stability of the whole machine.

 2. When the bucket and connecting Rod, bucket and bucket rod are mutually 90 degrees, the digging force is the biggest; when the bucket tooth and the ground are kept at 30 degrees, the digging force is the best, that is, the soil-cutting resistance is the smallest; The Angle of the bucket rod should be between 45 degrees in front and 30 degrees in back. The digging efficiency can be improved by using boom and bucket simultaneously.

3. When digging, the position of the machine body should be adjusted according to the direction of cracks in the Rock, so that the bucket can be smoothly shoveled in and excavated, excavate with the digging power of the bar and bucket (watch out for slippage of the teeth) ; break the unbroken rock first and then excavate with the bucket.

 4. The machine should be laid flat on the ground to prevent the body from shaking. It is very important to control the speed of the boom and the bucket Rod.

 5. The machine body should be in the horizontal stable position, otherwise it is difficult to control the turning unloading accurately, thus prolonging the working cycle time; As far as possible on the left-turning Assembly, so as to open the field of vision, high efficiency, while correctly grasp the rotation angle, to reduce the rotation time; First fill the sand, gravel, and then place large stones, so that you can reduce the impact on the car.

6. When working in the soft soil zone, we should know the degree of loose soil, and pay attention to limit the digging range of bucket to prevent the landslide, collapse and the deep subsidence of car body. When working in water, pay attention to the allowable water depth of the car body (the water surface should be below the center of the supporting sprocket) ; if the water level is high, the inner part of the slewing bearing will be badly lubricated because of the water entering, and the engine fan blades will be damaged because of the water strike, electrical wiring components are short-circuited or broken due to water intrusion.

7. The hydraulic excavator should confirm the surrounding condition of the lifting site, use high-strength Hook and wire rope, and use special lifting device when lifting, the movement should be slow and balanced; the length of the suspension rope should be appropriate; too long will make the suspension swing larger and difficult to control accurately; the bucket position should be adjusted correctly to prevent the steel wire rope from slipping off; the construction personnel should try not to get close to the lifting object, to prevent the occurrence of hazards due to improper operation.

 8. During operation, the stability of the machine can not only improve the working efficiency and prolong the life of the machine, but also ensure safe operation (put the machine on a flat ground) ; the stability of the driving sprocket at the back side is better than that at the front side, the wheelbase of the track on the ground is always larger than the wheelbase, so the stability of the front work is good, to avoid lateral operation as far as possible; If the excavation point is far from the machine, the operation will be unstable because of the shift of the center of gravity; the lateral excavation is less stable than the forward excavation, and the machine will be more unstable if the excavation point is far from the center of the machine body, therefore, the excavation point and the center of the body should be kept at an appropriate distance in order to make the operation balanced and efficient.

9. The hydraulic cylinder is equipped with a buffer device which can gradually release the back pressure near the end of the stroke. If the Piston is impacted upon reaching the end of the stroke, the Piston will directly touch the cylinder head or the bottom of the cylinder, which is easy to cause accidents, so to the end of the trip should be as far as possible to leave a gap. Using Rotary motion to carry out bulldozing operations will cause bucket and working device of abnormal force, resulting in distortion or weld crack, or even broken pin shaft, should try to avoid such operations. Using the body weight to excavate will cause the slewing bearing abnormal stress state, at the same time, it will produce strong vibration and impact on the chassis, so the application of hydraulic cylinder or hydraulic pipeline will cause greater damage. When loading and unloading heavy materials such as rocks, it should be unloaded near the bottom of the truck, or first loaded with soil, and then loaded with rocks. Unloading at high altitude is prohibited to reduce the impact damage to the truck. When the treads sink deeper into the mud, put a wooden board under the bucket, use the bottom end of the bucket to support the treads, then put a wooden board under the treads to drive the machine out.

10. When the excavator is running, it should be as close to the center of the body as possible to keep the stability, and put the final drive in the back to protect the final drive. Avoid driving over obstacles such as stumps and rocks as much as possible to prevent track distortion and, if necessary, make sure that the track is centered over the obstacle. When passing through the mound, the chassis is always supported by a working device to prevent the car body from shaking violently or even tipping. Should avoid stopping on the steep slope for a long time to idle the engine, otherwise the oil level angle will change and lead to poor lubrication. Long-distance running of the machine will cause high temperature inside the supporting wheel and final transmission due to long-time rotation, oil viscosity decline and poor lubrication, so should often stop cooling cooling, extending the life of the lower body. Do not rely on the driving force to carry out excavation work, otherwise excessive load will lead to the end of transmission, tracks and other parts of the early wear or damage. When walking uphill, should drive the wheel behind, in order to increase the adhesion of the ground track.
